After a break of almost six months, Jaakko and Erik got together for two trainings before participating in the second event of the biitsi.fi Indoor Pro Tour 2010. There were 13 teams present and it felt nice to be in the sand again, while the temperatures outside were below -10 degrees.
We started off slow in our first match, or Heikki and Hermanni were strong, but it took us three sets to overcome their fierce resistance. Next up was a Russian team and they previously showed strong technical and physical abilities. But throughout the whole match we kept a small lead, despite Jaakko testing the tall guy's block a few times... Great, this put us already in the semi-finals.
Now we had the luxury to have a break and wait for the next opponent to emerge. Eventually a nice combination occurred: it was twice Finland against Russia in the Semi-finals, Jussi and Tuomas faced the team we previously beat. Not being good hosts, both Finnish teams beat the visitors...
The final was a really enjoyable sideout battle of both teams. The sets in the indoor tournaments end at 15, but in the first set we had to go well beyond 21 points before we could claim it. The second set did not go into "overtime" and we achieved another victory!
