Jaakko Keskitalo and Erik Schmidt - Beach Volleyball

The first event of the biitsi.fi Indoor Pro Tour 2010 has been played. Jaakko paired with Pasi Iisakkala this time and due to their points from the previous year and the summer were seeded number one. A total of 13 teams finally showed up, including two Russian teams. The Beach Volleyball club "Poliisi Biitsi" added extra flavor to this event by offering free energy bars and energy drinks as well as awarding the top six teams with prizes. Wow, that's great!

2010 kicks off with a tournament of the Indoor Beach Volleyball championships on the 06 January. Go check it here.

The highlight of the season, the Finnish Beach Volleyball Championships was held in an impressive stadium three weeks ago. In the center of Helsinki a huge arena was set up, with seats for more than 1500 spectators and the finest, whitest sand on the whole tour.

10 teams were invited to play the Championships and we entered the competition as number four. According to the special playing method we had to play the number 7 seed Heiskanen/Leikas on Friday evening for a spot in the semi-finals.
We went to work in a concentrated and dedicated fashion and left no doubt why we had won two events of the BMW Pro Tour in 2009.
